Our route was created using a number of road maps and Garmin MapSource software. I obtained maps from CAA (free if you're a member) and MapArt Road Maps. I also sent away to some of the provincial tourism boards for their maps - which were very helpful. I found varying detail on each map and we'll take the ones with the greatest detail and the largest scale, along with the GPS.

Below is our actual route. 27800k kms spanning 90 days, including 8 ferries and 1 cargo ship.

Our trip started in Toronto. We travelled east through Quebec and the Atlantic Provinces, looped back on a northern route, then returned to Toronto for a few days. Our westbound route took us to Dawson City, Yukon, Alaska, then south to Vancouver and east back to Toronto. The route is basically a loop, with the eastbound roads being the southern route, and the westbound roads being the northern route.
